Shelby Durham II
My name is Shelby Durham II, and I have been married to my wife, Leigh Ann, for 14 years. We have been blessed with two amazing children, Logan and Michaela, and are members at First Baptist Church Paducah.
Growing up, my father was the pastor of a Southern Baptist church. If left to myself, I would have rejected God and lived for myself, following the path of self-deception and destruction. But God, who is gracious to sinners, used the witness of my parents to show me the exceeding riches and beauty of Jesus Christ. I was born again at the age of twenty, and now, almost twenty years later, it is my desire to share what was instilled in me. In Acts 20:27, Paul says, "I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God." In this day, it is easy to find voices that will only tell you what you want to hear. However, our greatest need is to hear what God has said to us in His word—not just the passages that make us feel good, but all of it.
